Christmas is an important time to look at life from a different vantage point. It is a special time of year to celebrate that Jesus, the anointed One of God, came into a broken world and provided a new way of life that would allow us to be forever right with God. The Gospel declares that in the person and work of Jesus, we can see life with an eternal perspective that transforms the way we live right here and now. A lot has changed, yet little has changed since that first Christmas when Jesus was born of the virgin Mary. Marketing has enhanced rapidly, calendars are busier than ever and pressure to please others is at an all-time high. However, the core of humanity is the same – insecure, aching and hoping for a Savior who can meet us where we are and graciously move us to where we need to be. Jesus, the Messiah, Christmas after Christmas, keeps delivering on that desire as people seek to see life from God’s vantage point.

Madison Park Church takes the Rethink Christmas season to look at the consequences of a consumer and materialistically-driven world and ask how we can follow Jesus in a counter-cultural and life-changing way. This year, we will, together, seek to make a Kingdom of God impact by resourcing gospel opportunities to be shared locally, nationally and internationally.
