Nursery Assistant

Cares for infants and toddlers

Commitment Serve one hour, one week a month, for one year.

Role Assist nursery teacher in caring for and teaching the infants and toddlers. Ensuring that the children are safe and cared for.

Nursery Teacher

Teaches and cares for infants and toddlers

Requirements -12 years of age or older -Volunteer application/background check -Orientation/training

Commitment Serve one hour, one week a month, for one year. Review curriculum provided before serving.

Role Nursery Teacher facilitates classroom programming, i.e. lesson time, singing, snack, diaper changing, etc. All curriculum/supplies are provided. Nursery Teacher also helps to greet the toddlers when they arrive, filling out care cards to make sure we take proper care of the infants and toddlers.

Production Team Volunteer

The primary responsibility of a tech team volunteer is to help facilitate life change at our Encounter experiences through the use of technology.

Requirements Training from a tech leader on our equipment and a willingness to use Planning Center Online

Commitment Approximately once a month for 2-3 hours that includes rehearsal and Encounter service

Role The tech team runs audio, ProPresenter, video, lights, and other elements of programming during student Encounter services. We are also interested in volunteers skilled in shooting and/or editing video.

Senior High Sponsor

The primary responsibility of an Echt sponsor is to facilitate life change for senior high students through our strategy of Encounter, Connect, and Serve.

Requirements Volunteer application, background check, and personal interview

Commitment 1+ year at 3-5 hours per week

Role Someone who is passionate and wired to help senior high students take their next steps in a relationship with Jesus. Sponsors serve as a part of a team, they are equipped, and have a responsibility to multiply disciples. It is important that you understand teenage culture and have a genuine love and belief in this next generation.

Role Teacher assistants facilitate the classroom activities. They implement the weekly curriculum (craft, snack, games, learning activities, etc.) while ensuring that the children are safe and cared for. Curriculum is provided.

Team Leader

Partners alongside early childhood director and teacher assistant to help facilitate weekly classroom experience.

Requirements -12 years of age or older -Volunteer application/background check -Orientation/training

Commitment Serve one hour, one week a month, for one year. Meet with other team leaders and early childhood director as needed. One year commitment.

Role The Team Leader works closely with the early childhood director on the monthly curriculum for their designated age group, helps to address issue that may arise with in early childhood, helps in the classrooms once a month and is willing to fill-in when available. Serves as a point person for the teacher assistants for their age group.

Traffic Team

Volunteers ensure the safety of those entering and exiting the parking lot and promote an effective method of parking.

Requirements A regular attender of Madison Park Christian Church and be 16 years of age.

Commitment Each team serves once or twice a month. We ask that you be dedicated no matter if there is rain, snow or sunshine.

Role The traffic team, made up of both men and women, serve in snow, rain and sunshine to assist guests in finding an open parking space and orchestrate the large number of cars coming in and out of the parking lots. The goal of this team is to show God’s grace, even before the need for effective parking. We need people who are able to be team players, who follow a plan, and attempt to guide people on and off our parking lot.

Usher / Server

Help people to find a seat in the crowded worship center. Serve communion and take the offering.

Requirements A member of Madison Park Christian Church

Commitment Serve once a month

Role Ushers and servers serve on a monthly rotational basis. They welcome our guests with greeting in the worship centers. Once inside the worship center ushers will offer assistance in finding a seat. These teams distribute bulletins and help serve communion and take offering. Volunteers must sign in at the head usher station area 30 minutes ahead of the worship service.

Van Driver

Drive the shuttle that goes around our community to Madison Park so people who wouldn’t normally make it church, can make it.

Requirements Valid drivers license. Must be at least 25 years of age.

Commitment Two months a year

Role To serve the local community by providing transportation (for those in need of a ride), to Sunday Morning Services at Madison Park Christian Church. You are committed to operating with excellence, serving with a GOD centered attitude, and being an example through our words and actions.

Worship Team – Band and Vocals

The primary responsibility of a worship team volunteer is to help facilitate life change at our Encounter experiences.  This occurs when a passion in helping others connect with God is combined with musical giftedness.

Requirements Musical ability, willingness to use Planning Center Online

Commitment Approximately once a month for 2-3 hours that includes rehearsal and Encounter service

Role A worship team member needs to have a life that reflects a pursuit of worship 24/7. Character always trumps talent even though musical giftedness is essential. There is training and coaching available.
